A place near where I live gets plastic milk bottle tops collected by school kids and apparently 3D prints them into prosthetic hands.

Is this the modern day collecting ring pulls to buy a kidney machine?

Were any kidney machines ever bought this way?

Round our way in the seventies, empty ski yogurt pots were used by the Daleks to rebuild themselves after fires involving Blue Peter Advent Candle Crowns.

I suppose if you had a prosthetic hand made in such a way you could have a little chortle to yourself knowing that when you shake hands with someone your actually giving them a milkshake.
