Wife went into Hospital on the 23rd December for what was described as a routine op, now nearly a month later going in for a third Operation ...I'm at my wits end, cant sleep, cant concentrate, cant do nowt, now to me when a person goes in for a hip breakage its routine to mend BUT when you have Osteoporosis to me its a little bit more complicated as brittle bones do not adhere very well shes been moved from pillor to post in the last three weeks Leicester Royal to Gerneral to Hinckley and back to the Royal soon to move to the General for the third operation it has not gone down well with me as I explained to Doctors at the Royal.

I was an Engineer by trade as I explained to the quacks so if something is weak it needs replacing not mending, and told them why was'nt she given a new hip in the first op brittle bones cannot to me be repaired as there is weakness, so instead of a week to ten days in hospital has now turned into a month.
The NHS bleat about cost effectiveness so were is it in my wifes case???

Sorry to hear about your wife Kendal. Hope it's all sorted soon.

Regarding cost effectiveness, did you see the John Pilger documentary on the NHS that was shown after the election? Horrifying levels of privatisation by stealth (which have been in flight since the start of the century) of various areas of the NHS, with money being syphoned off to interested parties for their 'assistance' - meaning that the money that should be there to aid the NHS is in someone else's pocket.

Sorry to read your woes and that of your good lady wife are ongoing Kendal.

The poor folk at the hospital will just be following directives from the Department of Health and NHS England. I'd wager they're as frustrated as you, if not embarrassed by it.

Your wifes situation would have been run through a NHS risk stratification tool that would have said yay or nay. Literally 'the computer says no'.
