Is Rodgers any different from Puel?

I'm beginning to lose faith with him especially over tactics and team selection eg always playing Maddison on the wing for some reason(he scored when he moved to number 10), team selection for Liverpool playing Barnes instead of the experienced Albrighton ,subbing Praet who was playing really well, keeping Chilwell on when he was dire. If you listened to the RL forum Piper especially was critical , and so early in the season. Vardy isolated again so it was ironic that Liverpool scored with a vardy type goal.!
He's far more open than Claude but is he that different? Just thinking aloud?

You're doing something aloud, but it isn't thinking.

You must be snorting hair lacquer and mainlining Drambuie, at the same time.

Hes got a point
Rodgers sets up wrong sometimes - usually away - and takes too long to change it

BR is too cautious.
He needs to think big.
Chelsea away we started appallingly.
Sheff Utd we wernt great.
Man U we Should've got at em
Liverpool you could hear the confidence drain when we equalised. They were shot.
What did he do? Replaced Maddison with Choudary. What he shouldvd done was replace him with Gray and run at em for the last 10 minutes. We let em get off the ropes to win it.

Harwich gets a rough deal I think on here for daring to question what the consensus think. Im still not entirely sold on Rodgers either. Were in a good position right now lets see if and how we take advantage (or otherwise) of the issues at Spuds Man U n Arris

Last year we couldn't win against the so called lesser teams, played our reserves in the cups and the team often looked lethargic.

Under Rodgers we have so far beaten Bournemouth and Sheffield United and absolutely thumped Newcastle without one of our most creative midfielders. Man Utd was disappointing but the players have to take some responsibility as they did not perform well in the system.

We are pressing higher up the pitch, on the whole there is more energy in the team and we look good defensively.

We are taking the cup seriously.

'Fraud would have us 4th from the bottom'

I see mystic meg is back and posting.

i don't totally agree with either the dour shane or OP but if people think the football style game to game is better then they are people fooled by the Rodgers publicity machine.

This bullsheete about showing 'personality' and showing 'character' sound ridiculous.

Have people read about Rodgers and the envelope 'motivation' that he gave to his Liverpool team? I just hope his tactics, motivation and management have come on since then.

Under Puel they seemed like a team learning their lines but are so obviously enjoying their football now.
No contest, although in fairness you could argue that BR was left a base on which to build...

A few good points which I agree with, but I'll give him more time, remember hes been coaching in a Micky mouse league for four years, hes got to learn as well, things can only get better and we are doing pretty well at the minute

In reply to the initial post, yes hes very different. Hes far better at getting the best out of what he has to work with than puel, however that certainly doesnt mean hes not making mistakes.
He should by now be playing Maddison continuously in the no10 role & its quite baffling why he doesnt.
The apprehension he clearly went into the Man Utd game with was as if he knew nothing about how poor they are offensively.
Finally I remember seeing a suggestion that Chilwell keeps getting picked, even though his performances dont warrant a place in front of fuchs due to us hoping that we get big bucks for him? Well surely its of primary importance to give the team the best chance of winning matches.

We're 4th ffs. We've lost two games by soft pens. The players look happy. We have one of the best defensive records in the league. And people are saying he's no better than Puel. God help us.
