It is true. The debates this afternoon were respectful and good points made on both sides.

Still incredible to see Hammond, who introduced the 2015 Referendum Act, deselected from the Tory party.

He represents the constituency where the Magna Carta resides and which voted Remain.

Dont agree with most of them as mainly leavers but itís extraordinary that Clarke, Hammond , Grieve , Soames no longer Tories .( Before you all start shouting - they all voted to leave the EU in March ) .

Henry - voting to leave is fine. Conspiring to not leave is not.

henry - I don't think Clarke has voted to leave the EU at any stage. However whenever the GE comes it seems we now have 3 choices:
1 Leave (one way or another) - Tories
2 Remain (Lib/Dem)
3 Choose Again (Lab)

It seems that you could bypass 3 by voting 1 or 2.

Clarke voted 3 times for Mays deal . I trust his judgement ahead of the cnuts in the ERG and Cummings/ Johnson who don't give a fcuk about the effect on us as long as they cling on to power . Why would Soames / Clarke / Hammond - etc vote against No Deal, given the consequences for them ,if they didnít profoundly believe given the evidence they have seen that it is going to have a massively damaging effect ?
No doubt there are many on here who take the likes of Cummings and Moggís side over the leading neurological surgeon on the Yellowhammer report they are desperate to keep from us . I donít.

Getting back to the top of the thread, it's been a joke for years.

Mac has it right the peasants are being lead by those who have impoverished the UK by allowing a foreign power to take control and the muppets in parliament are incapable of changing their own nappies .

They had a sing song after the latest circus last night.

And a ceremonial grabbing of Bercow's legs.

It's like they think that they're creating history or something.

I bet the benches are full of little urine stains from their excitement.

Are MPs still being paid, during this enforced Gardening Leave dictated by Boris? How much of our tax is being wasted by this? Suffers, you don't need to worry...

I know it's a minority view ,but I am heartened by parliament growing a pair and standing up to the executive.

True representative democracy means standing up to a leader who thinks he can ride roughshod over the wishes of the legislature.

Leaver or Remainer you should welcome this ,because the alternative is not good.

Not that difficult to understand, unless youíre on drugs and/or feeling suicidal.

As per the norm you slate but donít give a viable alternative.
Personally Iím with Henry.
Should Corbin try proroging Iím sure the rump of the Tory party will be up in arms.
