He will raise the rate at which you pay 40% tax from 50k to 80k.

Which is nice for a few who will be 6k a year better off.

Drew
Why shouldn't those who earn below 40k be able to dip their beaks?
Why not increase the point at which we ALL pay tax by 10k?

I would say this move in the opposite of him showing his "true colours". Thought he was a One Nation Tory?

This tax cut would cost more per year, than we currently contribute to the EU.

It is merely a tactic to appeal to the Tory membership when the votes for leader/PM start flying around.

With Boris's track record, why doesn't he just say that he is going to abolish income tax for everyone and end immigration. It is ok to lie when campaigning, isn't it?

Hackney - I couldn't agree more but the tax take would be a lot harder to replace
Sixthswan - do you have figures to back your claim up?
Wints - why would anyone want to buy the NHS?

Just three the 10k in for discussion.
Whatever it costs to increase the top bracket from 40k to 80K should be split between every tax payer in the country by increasing your personal tax allowances.

DP

The figure quoted across the media for BJs tax break for the well-off, is 9.66bn per year.

Our contribution to the EU is less than that.

He plans to fund it by using some of the 26.6bn set aside for a No Deal Brexit.

But he is also going to run on the No Deal Brexit ticket.

So how is BJ going to fund the tax break from the No Deal contingency fund?

Six swans I shouldn't worry your little head about it, no one from the treasury is going to be asking for your financial assessment, which appears to be coming straight out of the Dianne Abbott school of fiscal management.[:D]

Drew, significant parts of the NHS are already sold off/contracted out.

Why do you think Richard Branson sues the NHS when he isnt included in the shortlist for tendering for contracts?

To buy your way into Downing street by cutting tax for your core vote (i.e. using government money) is some trick to pull off.

DP.

Have a go at closing your bank account and defaulting on all your credit agreements.

You could always revert to payday loans I suppose?

Though of course, BJ claiming he won't pay the divorce bill is a bit of information we can really trust. Because he has never lied about numbers has he?
