Very interesting interview in the Merc with Rodgers analysing Nacho and saying how he wants to improve him.
Very insightful and exciting.

.......unless you meant exiting!

It's not got the same ring to it as Rodgers & Hammerstein!

I meant the way Rodgers talks and what he says is exciting.
Mind you after 16 months of Mr Autistic I suppose ĺistening to the Shipping Forecast would be exciting.

I'd prefer to hear stuff about City that's already happened, not that's on some wild wish-list of Brendan Rodgers as to what might happen based on what supporters would prefer. I can read BR and FT for that. It's too soon to be certain, but I tend to like City's managers to shut up until they've actually achieved something.

Puel got grief for not communicating with the fans.

I have to agree with the OP.

Players need building up not knocking down at every opportunity.

Particularly young players.

Too much negative press recently.

I accept that it might sound OTT at times but I prefer a positive outspoken, outgoing manager.

There has been a mood change at LCFC. I like it

Puel could have been utterly in command of English with an adorable French accent. It might have brought him two months before the fans started criticising him.

I guess people like 'a positive, outgoing manager' right enough, and I guess that Puel going has created a feel-good atmosphere round the club, but this won't last unless the results improve.

I've read it. It's very nice, but no more than that.

Henrik_62, a Celtic fan appearing on FT, says among other things 'Off the field he was like a breath of fresh air initially, however as time goes on you get the feeling he says too much and as such contradicts himself which lands him in trouble with the media and fans and he doesn't like then being questioned on it.

I think a large part of this is that he undoubtedly has a bit of an ego and feels he can just say what he likes at times, prepare for a lot of cliches and quotes in that regard'

For example, he's trying to get the supporters to believe that a pass backwards is not the end of the world. I happen to believe that's true, but he'll face a tough time with City fans if that's the case.

I remember saying to someone 'When did Puel last big up one of his players in the press?'
It is a necessary part of building team confidence which MON and NP recognised and he, apparently, didn't.

Ask Henrik about 'on the field'. Surely that's the bottom line?
