Cousin...phoned yesterday evening "I never ever knew that one man could make a difference but since you took Harvey back we've gone downhill rapidly"and that was before they sacked Moore

Same sort of thing Kendal. Out with an Albion fan last night & he is convinced as he can be that they would have gone up had he stayed for the season.
My personal opinion is barnes will be a top top player.

I said said the same Essington when i saw him with West Brom clever young man but needs that first goal to boost his confidence then watch him go, had an argument with a bloke behind my seat when he first came back, bloke was on his back "pub player" he said then i let go both barrels....... some idiots about watching football, it'll take the rest of this Season to settle International in the making.... providing he keeps level headed

I think thatís the key kendall. Staying level headed as he goes up the ladder which he will no doubt do IMO. Good thing is his old man was a pro too so hopefully will be able to keep him on the straight and narrow. Have we got him on a long term contract?

Came from (if I recall correctly) Bury to Nuneaton Borough. One of the best players seen at Manor Park in the b&w stripes. Highly regarded as a bloke too, apparently.

Must have migrated east after career with Boro', Lancashire's loss & Leicester's gain.[^]

Paul was on Notts Countys books as a school kid and signed for them along with another Leicester lad Dean Yates once he left school.
Played against Paul all the time when i was a kid, both school and Sunday football. He was extremely quick and could score for fun, Very similar to Vardy.

Also played for Stoke,Birmingham,Burnley, York as well during his career.

If I remember correctly, he once scored 2 goals for York in a 3-0 league cup win at Old Trafford in the mid 90's.

Another interesting fact is Jon Rudkin was Paul Barnes's captain all through his childhood career with both Wigston Fields and Enderby. Under 10's to Under under 16's.

Oh, right! So he is a Leicester lad himself, then.

The guys @ Boro' gave me the (obviously wrong) impression that he was from up north. Even better.

True your banter was poor, but it was infinitely better than one could expect (ever indeed receives) on here.
