So? How ,”fair”, were the leaflets sent to every home in the country, at tax payers expense. You seem to be very indignant about the publics decision to leave, for a man who bucked off and left the heavenly EU for the US.

if....IF.....it turns out to be russian money that funded banks/leave, would it change anything for you?

to know that we, as a country, had been played by the troll of the world. we danced to their tune. the same country that launched a chemical weapon attack on our streets, killed that women.

i bet it would make no difference...

You can sleep well at night knowing your President was fairly elected by the American people with no Russian interference.

Yes I do.

I think a large % of people who bang on about British sovereignty wouldn't care that Russia funded their leave campaign, and potentially manipulated them and millions more on Facebook. I think they would ignore all evidence, as no-one likes to believe they've been had. Just my opinion.

I take it from your answer that you would care then. But what can you do about it?

I think that to say that Russia financed the leave campaign is an exaggeration. I also believe that the majority of the population are not influenced by campaigning.
Having said that if this man has broken the rules then he should be punished, and if it did influence the result then there should be new referendum without further campaigning

I think that people that don't live in the UK and choose to live abroad have lost their right to an opinion .

They don't have to live with the consequences.

I think you're barking ever so slightly up the wrong tree, Adumass. Of course Russia provided funds, and provided operatives for cyber-intelligence and God knows what else. It's what they do. It's in their national interest for Britain to become separated from the EU.

However, it's not likely that the average Leave voter could care less about what's in Russia's national interest. They're more interested in the EU, and where they stand according to that. Russia may have influenced the result, and they may not. It's pointless speculating about it.

I suppose we have to have the Electoral Commission investigating it, but in some desperation because the horse has long since bolted. They may get Arron Banks, but they won't get Russia. Polite civilised government loses out to election fraud all the time.

Astley, not sure what I've said to upset you? But if it's your thing to throw around insults, I won't lose sleep.

Fiab, my point is not about the result, or looking for an angle to re-run. Would be pointless.

I was more interested in how people would feel if the found out they had been manipulated, specially if the people doing it were the most aggressive of the anti British nations. Doing the enemies work, so to say. Don't forget we already know that these people were specifically targeted...why them? (I don't exclude myself)

By the way, nothing is pointless to speculate about, an online message board would be pretty quiet if that were the case.

The UK Government spent many millions of taxpayers money on a leaflet that recommended we remain in the EU. The leaflet said clearly that if we remained in the EU growth would be greater than if we left. I voted leave because I believed lower growth in return for control over our borders and our laws was a price worth paying. But then I am just a fick northerner so what do my views matter ? The Arron Banks debate is a sideshow.

I still have a home and a business in the UK but choose not to vote or voice an opinion because looking at the media it was all over before the vote the UK was stopping in.
The good sense of the British people won through in the face of untruths from the government and media, God bless them.
Some of you forget the UK had 44 years of the dictatorship that is the EU and people could form their own opinion.
