Got offered a place in one of the boxes at Fulham tonight - upside was free food and booze (and a bottle of red wine signed by Claudio) - downside was it was in the far corner next to the Hammersmith end surrounded by Fulham fans and as far away as you could get from the away end (but great sound coming from the away end, drowned out the home support for the majority of the game).

Bunch of neutrals in the box, one other Leicester fan, and a fair few Fulham in there - the general consensus was the first half was really entertaining and could have been three all if it wasnít for awful finishing, but the second half Leicester were awful.

And the consensus was right - for the first thirty minutes of the second half if we did have the ball we sent it sideways across the back four, before sending a long ball to the wing which invariably went into touch. It was awful! Really really bad and makes me quite depressed! Even after we scored Fulham missed a bunch of sitters (they will go down if they canít convert more than one of the many chances they had).

And us without Vardy makes me worried - iheanacho was anonymous (apart from a low confidence miss in the second minute). No urgency, no effort, nothing - you could see chilwell get the ball, look up to make a ball down the wing for Vardy to run on to (or through the middle into the space thatís been freed up), but nothing going.

Simpson got barged off the regularly. Turkish guy was adequate defending but every ball out was overhit and went into touch, chiwells control was terrible, ndidi didnít look interested, etc.... diabate- did he do anything?

Albrighton was ok! Maddison is quality. Mendy runs about a bit.

Oh dear. Need to improve by Saturday.

Watched on a stream. Got to say Simpson looked good. The Turk cost us the goal and defensively weak. Pretty average the rest except madison who has a bit about him

Yep - took a full (signed) bottle home with me. Itís sitting next to my unopened bag of salt and victory crisps.
In 30 years time Iíll open them both and think back to that title winning season.
We wonít have won it again, but then nor will spurs.

Not sure the crisps will taste too good in 2048
Those crossfield balls into touch were dreadful and they did it time and again
Kaspar's distribution was equally woeful.

I may be wrong but I thought the pitch last night was quite narrow.
Could that explain the dozens of over-hit cross field balls from the outfield players and kicks out from KS?

I'm not convinced the 'Turk' was defensively weak. I think he was just trying to be far too cute and got stuck between decisions. I counted 4 or 5 times when he was trying to give deft headers or flicks to a defender alongside him from awkward aerial balls when the likes of Maguire, Morgan (especially Morgan) and or the likes of Huth or Evans would just have headed it or lumped it even harder back from where it came. He's young. He'll figure it. But last night felt a little like watching a poorer version of Stones from 2013-14. Trying to be too cute. Mitrovic is no mug.

Not sure if that helps my point or not.

You could have a point Soho, but surely our players are capable of judging where the touchline is and kicking the ball within it?

The amount of times balls sailed over Chilwell's head was infuriating though.

I don't know. Around 4-5 balls floating under his foot. Pitch too flat?

If a player wants to strike the ball 50 yards it doesnt matter how wide the pitch is, it's still a 50 yard hit. If the pitch is 3 yards narrower, take 3 yards off your pass.
