Hibs keeper Mark Brow has dismissed claims of dressing room disharmony within the club and is bemused at the current run of form which has seen Hibees fail to register a victory since the middle of November.

Speaking after yesterday's thoroughly disappointing 0-0 draw against part-time Ayr United, Brown admits he can't understand the freefall in which the club finds itself.

"It's difficult when the results are going the way they are," said Brown.

"We just have to get our heads down, work on the training pitch and when it comes to the match just try and turn what we're doing in training into the match performance.

"When it's coming to the games it just doesn't seem to be clicking.

"I think the team spirit's good. You can do off-field things, but at the end of the day it's what you do on the pitch.

"As a group at training we're fine and there's good banter in the changing room.

"It's just when it comes to the games we don't seem to be getting the breaks.A fluke goal or something might change everything round.

"It's just a case of keeping our heads down and getting on with things."

Brown was one of the few players in green to come out yesterday's stalemate with any kind of pass mark after his injury time save from Andy Rodgers kept Hibs in the competition but the stopper hopes a turnaround in fortune beckons with the return to fitness of Merouanne Zemmama and Daryl Duffy.

With Sol Bamba having departed for pastures new at Leicester City, Brown hopes a new arrival or two could spark an upturn in form.

"Thankfully Zoumer is back, Darryl Duffy's playing. They just need games to get match sharpness.

"It's another couple of players and now the transfer window's open we'll maybe get another couple in.

"It could be something like that, something clicking from there."

The date for the replayed cup tie is provisionally scheduled for Wednesday 19th January (7:45pm kick off).
