Darlington manager Colin Todd has completed the loan signings of Sunderland attacker David Dowson and his Black Cats team mate, midfielder Jamie Chandler.

As was revealed earlier in the day by WeAreDarlo, Colin Todd was targetting David Dowson after seeing the 20 year old hitman bag a hat-trick in Sunderland Reserves' 5-1 victory at Durham City on Wednesday night. Dowson has first team experience with Chesterfield and has an impressive goalscoring record for Sunderland's reserve side and he is likely to take up a place on the bench for the trip to Aldershot on Saturday.

Jamie Chandler is a central midfield player believed to be in the Ricky Ravenhill mould. Whilst he has not featured in first team action, Chandler comes with a great pedigree having appeared for England at under-19 level.

Both players should go straight into the squad for the trip to Aldershot and Colin Todd may not be finished in the loan market just yet as he seeks to add much needed depth to his squad.
