Barnsley v Coventry City.

Chris Coleman takes his kids up to Barnsley this afternoon in Coventry’s first away game of the season hoping to continue their record at Oakwell having won the last three meetings at the tiny South Yorkshire Club.

Barnsley will be boosted by the signing of Adam Hammill who they had on loan from Liverpool last season but Darren Moore,

For the Sky Blues, Elliott Ward and Leon McKenzie look doubtful with Clinton Morrison taking a late fitness test.

England Under-21 defender and new signing Martin Cranie looks set to make his debut for the City as the Sky Blues squad begins to take shape.

A win for Barnsley will give them their best start to a season in twelve years, a win for the Sky Blues will give us another three points towards safety.

Hugo Colace and former Leicester hero, (until he jumped ship for a bigger club,) Iain Hume are all doubtful.

Barnsley were one of the few Clubs that finished lower than the Sky Blues last season in the Championship, embracing their dubious honour as the team who have spent more seasons in the second tier of English football than any other club so they’ve probably played Leicester more times than they’ve played us.
