Well Guys and Girls, I tried to leave this Preview as late as possible so that I could mention all the new signings that would be making a debut for the Sky Blues this coming Sunday. Whilst there is still time for one or several people to join us, writing these things doesn’t pay the bills and I need to be getting on with my day job at the same time…….. You want fries with that?

Sorry where was I?

Oh Yes, this Sunday Ipswich Town are moving inland to the West Midlands to take on the mighty Sky Blues in what is the opening game of the season for both clubs thanks to Sky TV. It’s also with thanks to Sky as well as few broken Ranson promises, the attendance for Sunday could be at an all time low for an opening game of the season…….You want to Supersize that meal?

So onto the opposition,

Ipswich remains a 'town' despite a few attempts at winning 'city' status; it does not having a cathedral being one of the many reasons. After the match Coventry police will be searching the 2 coaches that brought the few hundred Ipswich fans that haven’t got Sky to catch any would-be cathedral snatchers on their way home. Which in their defence they would have just spent 90 minutes being told that “if they want a cathedral, we’ve got one to spare???”

It’s difficult to carry out any research on Ipswich without being met with the “Ipswich Murderer” whom decided that killing prostitutes was a good idea. Not even I will stoop so low to make fun of the dead, unless it involves Michael Jackson so I will move swiftly on……….You eating in or Taking away?

Ipswich were established in 1878 and play at the 30,300 capacity Portman Road Stadium, so they should be used to the echo at the Ricoh for Sunday’s game, they also seem to have a strong rivalry with Norwich City F.C. Ipswich Gymnastics Centre is one of only three fully Olympic accredited gymnastics facilities in the United Kingdom. Norwich fans visiting Ipswich on away games have also benefited from the Centre, thanks to the increasingly flexible Ipswich women that the Centre produces.

Speedway team, the Ipswich Witches, have been around since 1951 but seeing as there is only one Speedway team worth talking about I need not go any further. The Ipswich folk appear to be huge “Different Strokes” fans as the town centre appears to contain the glass-clad building called the Willis Building as in “what you talkin bout willis?"  However it is still often called the "Willis-Faber building" by locals, now I don’t talk Suffolk, but I imagine that translates to “the lots of windows to lick building”…………What drink do you want with that?

Big things are predicted for Ipswich Town FC whom has Roy Keane at the helm. Now I need to watch my language with these articles but I’ve never really took to Roy Keane. I know it’s a shock for me to dislike such an approachable person. However I know for a fact that what he has in ambition he lacks in knowledge with technology. It is for this reason alone that I have to class him as a Computer User Non-Technical.

City will want to start the season well after what has been a disappointing close season for fans. The squad has made some quality signings in Clingan and McIndoe; however quantity of players is still a concern. Coventry City fans that buy a program prior to kick-off will automatically be entered into a draw to come on in the 2nd half and cover at Left Back,

I predict a 2-2 scoreline with McIndoe marking his debut with a goal,

I predict a gate of 15,000

I predict Gunnarsson will take a long throw in

I predict the catering staff at the Ricoh to be just as slow

I predict I’m boring the arse off you!!!

I’ve got to go anyway, I’m on Drive Thru duty and Ranson has just pulled up in his Merc with someone better than David Healy in the backseat, he’s asked to borrow a pen so he can get something signed……….You want any Ketchup?

Play Up Sky Blues!!!!
