Local Hero- 300 not out.

I apologize to Watford because this game has little for us, or them, and I guess only a few of their diehards will make the journey. This time of the season clubs up and down the country are challenging for promotion or demotion and I suppose both sets of fans should be pleased we escaped the relegation battle or the fate that awaits Southampton.

Watford, famous for the gap and Elton John, have a proud history. Okay, and I'm sorry guys, their location is not the most fashionable but the supporters and locals always seem to be a bunch of hard working honest type that put the rest of the country to shame. Mention the car industry and we have COVENTRY and the Watford/Luton area.

I am now NOT going to apologize because I want to dedicate the rest of this review to Marcus Hall a true Coventrian and an intelligent, friendly and loyal human being.

Marcus Hall is not the greatest player in the world, by his own admission, but he is a role model for kids on and off the field of play. I remember reading, on another site, that fans were complaining they didn't want to bulge his wallet. They said that without finding out that Marcus had already found a charity he wanted his proceedings to go to.

When I hear managers or players on the TV or radio I always wince. I'm an English teacher and when I hear Fergie ramble on I am always embarrassed at his lack of lexis and his complete disregard for our SHAKESPEARE's language. Marcus breaks that mould, along with Turner, these two always come across as very approachable and have the intelligence not to depend on cliche or slang.

I am honoured as a CCFC that we had a LOCAL kid play for us but I am more proud that he was a really nice person who believed in the virtues every parent wants their kin to aspire to. My greatest compliment to Marcus has to be;

YOU are a great role model for my kids, students and family to follow,. THANK YOU for being alive and being in our lives.
