We play Sheffield, Wednesday, right?

Okay I like childishness but that is what makes the world go round, right? We actually play United on Wednesday and not Wednesday.

Our minds are elsewhere at this present time and who can blame us? We have been starved of success and I know how 'being in the wilderness' for 40 days and 40 nights must have felt.
Coleman is saying 'forget' Chelsea but try telling that to the fans who camped out all night to get their ticket, and we also find that they are in such great demand they now appear on ebay. But, I suppose we should follow Comeman's advice and look at tomorrow's game rather than Saturday's.

We welcome the team, management and supporters of Sheffield United to the Ricoh for this game which could be a cracker. We are both on the up and United are now in the play-off position after a good win against the Blues.
Managed by the excellent Blackwell he is putting together a good team that is more than capable of holding their own. With the sales of prized players over the last season and a half one would expect them to stuggle but those players who have left seem to have struggled more than the team they left.

We see another Beattie has joined up front and if he produces half as much as his namesake then their fans will be happy. A few years ago United had a few players that were the envy of many teams but since they have gone United have succeeded without 'big' names. It is believed Blackwell prefers that and it has been said he can't cope with prima donnas as he comes from the 'old school'. Whether that is true is open to discussion but we should pay heed to the team he fields tomorrow night.

Coleman doesn't need any master plan to motivate his charge as they will be up for it even if the fans aren't. He has shown by picking players on merit and not sticking to his favourites that anyone could be in the team for Saturday and that is both positive and negative.

I will start with the negative first, and the fact that our players now seem to want to give 100% commitment to the cause. As we have witnessed, on a regular basis, injuries occur at an alarming rate when they play to their full potential and are committed. We don't need any more injuries because although some players are coming back other are heading in the opposite direction to the doctor's room.

Positively, this committment now being shown is a mouth-watering sequel to what could be instore for us next season. As we speak even our chairperson is being chased by Liverpool and Newcastle and one has to ask where this lunacy will end? Maybe someone soon will be in for Jim the gateman or even Jimmy Hill. But as people rightly point out we must be doing something for all this attention. I have heard the rumour of this Ranson situation was made by a monger (rumour) who supports Chelsea, so one can figure out his true intent.

Looking at the game tomorrow Coleman knows that with the amnesty over yellow cards he could field his strongest team especially in midfield. But, I have also heard a rumour Gunna will be rested for this game and Boozy will partner Doyle. Also with Dann not fully fit Coleman may decide to bring back Turner to play alongside Ward and that Ozzy may come in for Wright. Other than that we can expect the same team and the same desire. Yes, players may be a little cautious because of the cup game but there should still be enough passion on the pitch and in the stands to see us through.

Predicted team

Westwood

Ozzy - Ward - Turner - Fox

Henderson - Doyle - Boozy - Bell

Clinton - Best

subs; Dann, Marshall, Eastwood, Hall, Simpson

Predicted score

2 - 0 City (another clean sheet is the most important thing here)
