Coventry City-Norwich City match preview.

Next up Norwich who come to the Ricoh with their funny accents and clinging to the hope of a good run and a play off place while the Sky Blues are well, just clinging.
Manager Glen Roeder has attempted to motivate him team by issuing the stark warning.
"Some of them are playing for their careers. If they leave Norwich in the summer they will not go to a better club than this. That should be a motivating factor."

Our old friend Darren Huckerby is very doubtful due to injury which means the World Record attempt for off sides in any one game has had to be cancelled as Leon Best claims he couldn't do it on his own although he would have a damn good go.

Huckerby apart, Norwich are up to full strength.

The worrying news for the Sky Blues is Tabb is rated as only 50/50 for the clash but the good news is that Chris Coleman says he has no plans for Kevin Kyle to return.

Norwich have a good defensive record away from home and on present form the Sky Blues will have trouble breaking down the Canaries. With non of the strikers hitting the net of late confidence is low and this was clearly seen against QPR mid week as chances were snatched at when composure was called for.

Coleman has gone on record praising some of the players to obviously try to instill some confidence back and it would be nice if the Sky Blue army got behind the lads in the same way rather than boo individual players or the team like we saw against QPR midweek.

Did you know that the Norwich song "On the ball, City" is regarded as the worlds oldest football song?

Ok, it's a bag of sh**e like but fair play to em.

On the ball, City.

On the days to call, which we have left behind,
Our boyhood’s glorious game,
And our youthful vigour has declined
With its mirth and its lonesome end;
You will think of the time, the happy time,
Its memories fond recall
When in the bloom of your youthful prime
We’ve kept upon the ball
Kick off, throw it in, have a little scrimmage,
Keep it low, a splendid rush, bravo, win or die;
On the ball, City, never mind the danger,
Steady on, now’s your chance,
Hurrah! We’ve scored a goal.
City, City, City

Let all tonight then drink with me
To the football game we love,
And wish it may successful be
And in one grand united toast
Join player, game and song
And fondly pledge your pride and toast
Success to the City club.
Kick off, throw it in, have a little scrimmage,
Keep it low, a splendid rush, bravo, win or die;
On the ball, City, never mind the danger,
Steady on, now’s your chance,
Hurrah! We’ve scored a goal.

Our one's better!
