Coventry City v WBA match preview.

With manager after manager seemingly knocking back the Sky Blues it's left to Frankie Bunn and John Harbin to pick up the pieces for the second time with no one interested in a three year contract that ends after 12 months.

The Sky Blue entertain the Baggies in the fifth round of the F.A Cup with the Baggies confident in progressing into the quarter finals. Tony Mobray's side are an attack minded entertaining team that has seen them constantly at or near the top of the Championship this season. The two sides met in November at the Ricoh with the Baggies coming out on top 4-0 against 10 men City in the televised clash that saw Mifsud sent off early on for an elbow on Carl Hoefkens. Less than a month later the Sky Blues took their revenge beating Albion 4-2 at the Hawthorns.

Which City side turns up is anyones guess. The team that destroyed Manchester United and Blackburn and very near beat West Ham or the team the turned up against Blackpool, Leicester or mid week against Cardiff? If it's the latter then we will lose, no question, and lose heavily. If, on the other hand, it's the former then I have no doubt will win.

This season City have faired well against teams that come at us, that have allowed us to play football and this is possibly the key to a victory. West Brom have lost their last three away fixtures and if we can soak up the pressure early on then I think we can do it.

The worry for City is both Daniel Fox and Scott Dann are Cup tied, having both impressed in their short time in a Sky Blue shirt and the Baggies will have Kevin Phillips ready to pull the trigger. Phillips missed both games against the Sky Blues early on in the season and has scored an impressive 17 goals from 22 starts.

Jonathan Greening wil be absent through suspension and Roman Bednar and Zoltan Gera are both doubtful due to injury.

With 10 goals shipped in the two meeting this season this could be another high scoring game. I'm going to stick my neck out on this one and go for a 3-1 victory to the Sky Blues.
