In their last game before the FA Cup final Cardiff City beat the team who they last played in the Semi Final last month 3-0.  The goals coming from  Paul Parry 44, Kevin McNaughton 49 and Joe Ledley 63.

The attendance was a massively disappointing 14,469 which if you compare it with some of the other crowds in the division shows how far behind we are in terms of core support. We like all clubs can sell Cup Final tickets but Sheffield Wenesday had 22,000 MORE than us for their last game!

Cardiff manager Dave Jones speaking afterv a comprehensive victory over Barnsley said :
"I thought they went out and did their job superbly and got their rewards for it. If we can do that in the FA Cup final, I'll be very happy. It was nice to see Paul Parry back because he gave us a different dimension. I thought his goal was superb, with the movement and running off it."

The Bluebirds lined up as follows: Enckelman, McNaughton, Loovens (Purse 61), Johnson, Capaldi (Ramsey 57), Whittingham, Rae, McPhail, Ledley, Parry (Thompson 71), Hasselbaink.
Subs Not Used: Oakes, Sinclair.

Booked: Loovens.

Barnsley: Steele, Van Homoet, Nyatanga, Souza, Kozluk (Mattis 70), Butterfield, Hassell (Togwell 51), Campbell-Ryce, Leon, Macken, Ferenczi (Adam 78).
Subs Not Used: Letheren, Nardiello.

Booked: Souza, Van Homoet, Kozluk, Togwell.

Att: 14,469
