Ivan Klasnic has agreed to cancel his contract with French Club Nantes, leaving him free to negotiate a deal with Bolton Wanderers to return to the Premiership.

Klasnic was brought in on loan at the end of last season and hit the back of the net eight times whilst at the Reebok.

And now he is available on a free transfer after Nantes confirmed the Croatian had left the club.

A statement on fcnantes.com read: "FC Nantes and Ivan Klasnic have found an agreement to terminate the contract that bound them on Sunday evening.

"FC Nantes and its leaders would like to especially thank Ivan for his professionalism and his human qualities. We wish him every success for the rest of his career," the statement finished.
