Bolton Wanderers striker Johan Elmander has bemoaned his recent role of substitute after Ivan Klasnic's recent goalscoring form has left the Swede third choice in the side.

The Croatian loanee has scored four goals in as many games for the Trotters and partners captain Kevin Davies up front.

And the 28-year-old has hinted he will consider his future at the club if the situation continues.

He told Aftonbladet: "Klasnic has scored some goals so I understand if Megson doesn't bench him, but I wish that I could start so that I could help the team.

"It is a new experience to be benched- I might wake up one day and think how boring it is, but it hasn't happened yet," Elmander warned.
