Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson has blasted his side's display against Chelsea in the Carling Cup after the Stamford Bridge outfit cruised to a 4-0 win last night.

Didier Drogba, Deco, Flourent Malouda nad Soloman Kalou got the goals that sent Wanderers out the competition and Megson described it as 'the worst performance you'll see'.

He told Sky: "If you don't compete against Chelsea and some of the other big clubs in this Premier League you're going to have huge problems.

"I know this was a Carling Cup tie, but we didn't make it a cup tie," he said.

He went on: "We needed to make it about tempo and strength and we made it about passing and technique.

"There were one or two that did okay, but nowhere near as well as they can do," he finished.
