Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson believes new signing Lee Chung-Yong will need time to adapt to the physical pressure of the Premiership- but has been pleased with the winger's substitute appearances so far this season.

The South Korean international has come on for the Trotters in three games this season and has accumulated just over an hour of English football.

But Megson feels the step up in league is proving a stumblnig block for the 21-year-old and feels he will need time before becoming the finished article.

Megson told the Bolton News: "He has done okay from what we have seen from him so far.

"Physique-wise, you can see that he isn’t strong enough yet and not capable of going through an hour and a half but all that really does is emphasise the difference between the league here in England and that in South Korea," Megson explained.

The former Leicester boss went on: "He has got to be given time, and not just a matter of weeks."
