Pauls_Boutique Posted on 12/02/2019 08:44 Edited On: 12/02/2019 08:51New sign at Mill Farm |
Drove past this morning and there is a huge new sign there telling Theresa May not to get bullied by the EU and that we are all standing behind her (I’m certainly not but I’m not wanting to turn this post into a political debate as that’s been done to death on here). My point is that this seems a very unusual move for the owner of a business that he is trying to grow to get so vocal about a situation that has divided the country for so long. I won’t be taking my child to the football academy there any longer because this, along with their sponsorship by Cuadrilla, don’t sit right with me. |

People pushing their political agendas. You'd never get that on here ![]() Suddenly it all makes sense why I've never warmed to K&W ![]() |

So then Paul please tell us how you know 100% it’s the clubs doing and not a private enterprise advertising? Oh and I think you have already turned it in to a political thread with those comments. |

Beat me to it Scratchers. And, IMO, if everyone had accepted the result and stood behind it, we wouldn't be in this XXXXXX. |

It may be a private enterprise who has put up the sign but it’s on Mill Farm land so they will know about it. Not commenting on the rest of your points as it is a business question not a political one. You don’t agree with me and I don’t agree with you and we never will but that’s life. My comment was more to show how much one comment can affect customers. Of everyone we as Blackpool supporters know how the actions of business owners affect their customer base. |

Cuadrilla may go bust at some point so it could be a case of taking a very big cheque while you can,and his advertising board is more of a commercial/social comment rather than political. Given the noises coming from Nissan and one or two others the guy is probably worried about his business, just like ordinary folk who may be affected with foreign trade etc. What would be more apt in my view would be an attack on how London* gets all the cherries and the North West gets token gestures, which is the more pressing issue in this region. *verminous |

It's true that everyone is behind TM. However, some back her and some want to push her over the edge.![]() |

I knew it was only a matter of time ![]() I absolutely support the message, but it's a divisive topic. Personally, I would have plastered it up on the advertisement board, next to the Swan in Kirkham. |

If you won't be taking your kid to the football academy any longer because the owner tells our PM not to get bullied by the EU, it says more about you than him. |

Why is that then? When I can take my kid to a different football academy closer to home? I shall remove myself from my own thread because, as I guess I should have expected, it has become a political debate when my point was about why you would run the risk of losing customers from your business. |

So why would you even consider taking him/her to Fylde academy in the first place then? Seems to me like your just wanting to beat AFC Fylde with a stick as you don’t agree with a political poster outside their ground. |

My child is a she actually (I won’t make comment on your assumption that as it’s football then it must just be for boys) and I took her there because I used to live in Kirkham so it was closest. |

Why would you alienate 48% (or more now) of the country from coming to your football ground? Strange |

This is my point Sambuka, before it got hijacked by some of those above. Doesn’t make any business sense. Anyway I have removed myself from commenting further!! |

Pork. Why do you defend anything to do with Kirkham or Codwood. Or are you just on a wind up mission again. But you do sound to serious for that ![]() |

Wind up mission? ![]() If I’am being honest I don’t think this thread has anything at all to do with football but is more a political disagreement that the O/P has. For the record I share Paul’s views regarding May. |

This is all the work of Haythornthwaite. He did it after the Brexit referendum. He's an odious man peddling his political views through his little football club. He's out of order frankly. |

No company has ever peddled political politics have they? Oh no. Furthermore there is no proof it's even his sign. Take your kid away from a club because of a pro TM sign yet take your kid to watch a club owned by a rapist is fair game. You couldn't make it up. Daftest illogical thread of 2019. Congratulations. ![]() |
