As much as I dislike the guy he has a valid point. The economy is starting to falter and jobs are going to be lost. My business generally grows by 5-10 % per year and has done so for the last 25 years bar one. This year we're down by 3% so far with little chance of recovering that on a 10million plus business per annum. A little concerning but that 3% would equate if it continues to 4 or 5 jobs.

It's debate that needs to be revisited if the playing field/ rules change in my opinion.

The politicians didn't have a clue of what they wanted, how it would come about and any benefits to the UK. The public were hoodwinked by sensationalism and the Tory Mayhem tried with the parrot phrases she used in the GE. She is a XXXXXX idiot. At least Thatcher knew what she was doing (badly).

Even if we end up doing OK economically in ten years time or so, it seems highly likely that we will be doing so with a smaller economy than we would have if we had stayed in, and having endured considerable hardship on the way, with everything that will mean for the deficit and the national debt (we could hardly be attempting to do this at a worse time from that point of view?).
I also think we will most likely be worse off in so many other ways as well including environmentally, culturally, educationally, and in terms of our international standing.
I am afraid I just do not trust our own politicians to be able to prevent this (or in some cases to even want to).

Don. I think the point is that Leave voters didn't believe in the Economic Armageddon narrative. They believed it was just a part of the "Scare the frack out of them" agenda.

But people are just starting to feel that cold hand of economic reality on their shoulder. And beginning to wonder whether the scare mongers didn't actually have a point.

And never mind the right wing, some people (ahem) believe that Corbyn is hoping an economic meltdown might usher in the socialist dream Republic.

The problem is that when you kick over the bricks you can't be sure where they'll fall.

Don. My point was that in the last election the RW were nowhere. Even the RW of the Tory party managed to lose the majority the much maligned Cameron secured for them. And UKIP were nowhere. So the RW hope lies with another Farage comeback or with the scum who murdered Jo Cox.

Alternatively the LW confounded all expectations. Despite all the odds and all the pundits. And demolished the Tory majority. Hence my comment about Socialist republics.

I thought you were alive to that danger?

But as I said.....kick over the bricks and you don't actually know how they'll fall.

But never worry. I expect we'll bumble through. As usual. Hopefully anyway.

The right wing, the real right wing don't respect democracy.

As for the election Ukip had 'the wind blown out of it's sails' when Sir Nige stepped down plus as a one goal party it became an irrelevance.

The left performed badly, very badly but small mercy that our wasn't wiped out as predicted before the election.

Force the EU back on the table against the people's wishes and watch a resurgence of the genuine hard right.

I do agree with some of the Blair sht though, UK border control and associated EU membership might appease Brexiteers or at least confuse the issue enough to be accepted.
