WWE has releasd several wrestlers from their roster. British wrestler Kaite Lea Burchill is gone, as is Mike Knox, Jimmy Wang Yang, Slam Master J, and former womens champion Mickie James. Also now a free agent is Sho Funaki has been with WWE since 1998 and incredibly long continuous run for a wrestler with WWE. From the team Kaientai to being Smackdown's non-English speaking 'Number 1 announcer' to his recent run as 'Kung Fu-Naki' he had been around for 12 years.
A star who is still with the company but mayber not for much longer is Batista. Batista's contract is set to run out soon and he has not renewed it. He recently lost the WWE championship to John Cena at Wrestlemania and is one of the company's biggest stars. He has repudely been unhappy recently because Triple H was cast in the lead role of a WWE movie that Batista was originally supposed to star in. But WWE would not cast Batista if they were not 100% sure he would stay with the company.
Batista rose to fame as a member of the team Evolution in 2004, a team that also included Triple H, Randy Orton and Ric Flair. He then went on to become a major singles star, holding the title many times. He will challenge Cena for the title once again at WWE Extreme Rules tonight. It is reported that his ambition is to become an actor.
