It's time for another crack at the Emirates FA Cup for West Ham United and they will be hoping to bounce back from defeat to the red half of Manchester at the start of the week by knocking the blue side out in an all Premier League third-round tie tonight.

The Hammers eventually beat Liverpool as well as earning a replay against Manchester United in this competition last season, and despite a draw at Old Trafford, Louis van Gaal's side put an end to cup football at Upton Park, so the hosts will be determined to make it a special night by finally overcoming one of the top-flight "Big boys" in Stratford.

Tonight's encounter will be the second time the two sides have faced each other this campaign and they are set to meet again next month.

The Citizens were in imperious form at the beginning of the season and beat the East Londoners 3-1 at The Etihad Stadium in August but, they have suffered a dip in form recently and because of that, the home side will fancy their chances here.

Since the draw was made back on 5 December, the Irons have gone on to pick up ten points in the league and are in much better form, although they have lost their last two outings.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the game on Thursday, Slaven Bilic hinted that he will still go with a strong side here, as the likes of Adrian, captain Mark Noble, Edimilson Fernandes, Andy Carroll and Ashley Fletcher are all pushing to be involved.

Having had his red card in Monday's game rescinded, Sofiane Feghouli could continue in midfield.

In his post-match interview with the BBC after the latest defeat, Bilic also hinted that Sam Byram is making good progress following a hamstring injury and may be in the squad.

The match is a 7:55pm kick-off with live coverage being screened by the BBC as part of Match Of The Day from 7:30pm. The referee is Michael Oliver.
