Blatantly obvious from this weekend (yet again) that many managers see it as a much lower priority. Klopp's whole new side v Plymouth being a good example.

Indeed, and it's little wonder attendances at this stage of the competition are declining. What a great idea the "Champions" League was.... [:(!]

It really grinds my gears, the FA Cup is a great supporters competition, the chance for most supporters to dream and get excited about a cup run, even a visit to Wembley. Even Albion supporters with or great FA up tradition, dismiss the competition by saying that staying in the premier is the
only true objective, the money making side of the game has finally taken over from passion and pride.

I understand to a degree owners, coaches and players, staying in the premier probably guarantees them a money busting contract and security, but supporters [|)]

It's sad that the days of the excitement of the FA Cup have gone Beano. It was the last bit of magic left in the game for us.

I'm sure it was still felt by the thousands of Plymouth fans at Anfield yesterday because it was a rare chance to go to somewhere like that but for us, it's gone [sad]

Much as it's been great to spend recent years at the top level, many of us feared that the game would become sanitised as a result. It has. The magic's gone.
