Toronto FC have found themselves in a unlikely and somewhat bizarre situation concerning the signature of Paul Dicov.

The former Scottish international who has made several trips to BMO in an attempt to rekindle his professional relationship with former international teammate Mo Johnston has now been linked with his former club, league one Minnows Leicester City.

Dicov 35 has been Seen in the BMO as recently as the 1st of July where he held talks with the club along with other prime Toronto target and Former Manchester city Teammate Darren Huckerby.

Recently demoted Leicester city who had a tumultuous last season in which they parted company with no less than 617 managers, and ended up being relgated on the last day of the season to the bowels of english soccer .....league one, will no doubt be looking to spring back into the championship by playing the transfer market wisely and bolstering their flailing squad.

So will a lucrative deal with his former club in their time of need swing the pendulum in their favour?........Well for Dicov, the oppotunity to be close to his family, whilst still playing the sport he loves at a semi professional level....maybe all that it takes, add to that that he would be a big name signing to a team of Leicesters standing meaning a regular starting spot to ensure they can pull in an extra 2 or 3 hundred supporters would also whet his appetite.

As much as we would like him here to teach and coach our already strong front line, I see first team appearances a little sparse and I don't think he would favpur the strong competion....So I for one wish him well in which ever decision he makes.

And if he goes to Leicester then I wish them every success for the coming season. I can see it being a little tough so please don't lay the responsibility at the feet of Paul....you know what they say about all your eggs and one basket etc etc.
