Owls boss Brian Laws will be putting the horrors of Wednesday`s last away match to the back of his head as he targets his team to be in  a top ten position all season. The Owls  went 2-0 up last season before allowing Charlton back into it and losing 3-2. Mark Beevers is still out and Franny Jeffers makes the bench again, Wade Small makes his first start of the season in place of Esajas who drops to the bench.

WEDNESDAY HAVE RODE THEIR LUCK IN THE FIRST HALF HOUR OR SO, BUT WADE SMALL`S WONDER GOAL OUT OF NOTHING HAS RAISED THE WHOLE TEAM`S MORALE AND HOPEFULLY THEY CAN KEEP THAT UP IN THE SECOND HALF.

2nd Half

Wednesday kick off and they are attacking the goal where the away fans are, Richard Wood makes another slip and Ol Reg leaps onto the loose ball but shoots wide at goal.Good pressure from Wednesday on the Charlton goal  inspired by Wade Small who`s playing out of his skin ! The ball is fired at Nick Bailey who clearly handles it but the Ref reckons it hit him on the chest. Almighty pressure from Charlton now, 2 very good chances see a great tackle from Watson on Ol Reg then seconds later a a good save by Lee Grant. JJ limps off and he`s replaced by Deon Burton.

A superb cross by Bouazza is well headed away for a corner by Peter Gilbert.Wade Small comes off to a great reception by the Owls fans, Esajas replaces him. Bouazza goes on a great run into the Wednesday area but skys the shot over the bar.Lloyd Samm goes on a run and crosses into the box but no Charlton strikers are there. Darren Ambrose and Toderov come on for Andy Gray and Primus, Jimmy Smith comes on for the limping Steve Watson.

Good pressure from Charlton and Bouazza fires a good cross into the box safely claimed by Lee Grant. That bloody Bouazza bloke again shoots from a good angle but it hit`s the side netting, the Owls are defending stoutly this half and Marcus Tudgay is all over the pitch, a great performance from him today.`Barmy Army` chants are echoing round the Valley as the Wednesday fans do their bit for team morale under pressure from the Haddicks.Ambrose shoots from distance trying to catch Lee Grant out, but the Owls Stopper is wise to it.

Free kick to Charlton 20 yards out in a central position, 4 mins left... but it`s well defended and Esajas runs the ball up the pitch. 90 Mins are up..4 mins injury time..where the fook did they get that from ?
