Manager Brian Laws makes 6 changes to the starting 11 of the previous game v Haarlem at Heiloo, Jimmy Smith on a season long loan from Chelsea misses the game after taking a knock on the ankle the other day.

Marcus Tudgay is causing Dutch defenders some grief again with his snappy one touch play and he finds Leon Clarke who`s low and hard shot hits the post, the rebound comes out to him and he shoots again this time it scrapes the outside of the post. A little later on, Clarke breaks free from 2 defenders and hits a fine shot which is brilliantly saved by the keeper at full stretch. The Owls  are firing in shots from all over the place and the keeper is playing a blinder keeping the score to 0-0  at the end of the first half.

Half time...Telstar 0 Wednesday 0

Deon Burton who has replaced the impressive Leon Clarke for the 2nd half hits the post again for Wednesday with a good strike. On the hour mark Tommy Spurr crosses over to Marcus Tudgay who heads the ball into the net Telstar 0 Owls 1 .

Minutes later Burton scores with a header from a corner then JJ scores the goal of the game after going round 3 defenders and striking the ball home in a goalden 8 minute spell for Wednesday!

Full time..Telstar 0 Wednesday 3

Another good display by the Owls this time with some great attacking play by the 3 Forwards, with a bit more luck from the goalposts and a keeper who was in inspired form this could easily have been a 6 or 7-0 scoreline.

Keep it up lads !
