I don't think we (Pompey) are definitely sure of promotion as yet and we still need a win tomorrow to be 100% [:O]
Only upon completion of all 46 games by ALL teams is it over.
If Leyton Orient players were to go on strike through no payment of wages then they would not be fulfilling their games. As such they would be thrown out of the league and their results annulled making it a 44 game season.
Pompey won both their games against them = 6 points
Luton won 1, drew 1= 4 points
Stevenage won 1, lost 1 = 3 points

These points would then be deducted from the current totals.

Happy to be told I am wrong 🌞

You are wrong.
The FL won't let happen with three games to play, it would be easier for them to pay the wages through loans than have that massive headache. Any player striking in that case will unlikely play again in the FL, so it won't happen.

That makes me feel so much better that your ASSUMPTIONS of what the FL would do will override the current EFL rules 🤔

With only a couple of games to go, the league would step in and pay the wages so the fixtures can be completed.

That way, the rules will not have to come into play.

Nice try for a wind-up but totally without foundation.

the league(S) are more likely to let the pfa pay the wages. then deduct points form Orient for the next 2 or years ignoring the fact that their billionaire owner could pay the wages from his loose change but is choosing not to. Another club and fans hung out to dry by the "right and proper" persons test.

But you are making the assumptions that the players would go on strike with 3 games left and assuming that there would be points taken off .

IT WONT HAPPEN

Dead right Hammie, I forgot to mention the PFA and it would more likely be them who stepped in,

I know it won't happen but after 63 years of supporting
Pompey I was just laying in bed last night thinking
"Is there anything that could still go wrong ?" [cr]

Malcdelsol 3 things to remember.. the FL bend the rules as they go along, change the rules when they like and apply the rules when the like. Being a Pompey fan you should know that by now. [;)]

I think I am correct in saying that after a certain percentage of games have been played that if a Club folds then their remaining games are awarded to their opponents rather than deducting points from teams that have already played them. I am not certain of that, but believe it to be the case, and I really do not know what figure needs to be reached, but would assume they are well past that.
