This deal needs to happen, it could be our one and only chance... Caitlin has admitted the trust can take us top half of L1 at best..

Why the fvck do you half brained fools automatically think this bloke is a wrong'un??
Maybe, just maybe he might be a genuine bloke who fancies jumping on the football rollercoaster and what a ride he'd have with this great club??
I wanna hang on to his coat tail and see what happens... If you wanna cast envious eyes along the coast at tin pot no marks like Bournemouth then more fools you, cos that's what'll happen if we stay as we are

Grow some b0ll0x and take a leap of faith...

One and only chance... WALOB.

When we're in league 1 next season, our attractiveness value will increase.

Only an idiot takes the first offer, especially from a man like this.

Maybe Caitlin said the trust can take us top half of L1 at best knowing there was interest from other people. Trying to influence people before the story broke.

Always with the negative vibes!!

It seems that Mr Eisner is just the type of guy we would like to see involved at Fratton Park. It appears he has an outstanding and unblemished track record of achievement and credibility and perhaps honesty to boot. I sincerely hope the negotiations go well and the outcome achieved well before Brexit is.

Surely this day was always going to come if we want the club to move forward. Any doubters must read the excellent blog that Micah has written. He puts all the relevant points comprehensively in one article.

Play Up Pompey! Onwards and upwards.

From the Snooze

"Since community ownership was put in place almost four years ago, there have been a number of parties to enquire about becoming involved with the club, yet none have progressed as far as Mr Eisner.

The club have declined to comment directly on any interest by a specific group".

How come he has come this far? This is the key question

It seems he was a major shareholder at Disney - before Disney started to make anti Julian Assange and the like films - was this the direction he didn't like (ref for Norse)

I read earlier that he likes the fan ownership bit at Pompey

Is Micah Hall typically your kind of guy to get hoodwinked easily?

What's to stop him again being the major shareholder, and being joined by others including more input from HNW's and possibly a proper share issue for common fans?

We've had too many maybes to juat go by that. We bought the club from people who made false promises on the basis that maybe they'll be alright, and I'm not prepared to throw caution to the wind especially after last time.

I'm not against someone coming in and investing. But not a maybe. Unless they are absolutely, positively, 110% legit in their immediate and future actions regarding OUR club then they can bounce as far as I'm concerned.

If the man is going to invest in the infrastructure it's got to be worth a punt. The club has been so badly neglected in this regard.

50 years of zero investment in infrastructure and we find ourselves in league 2, while 3 other south cost clubs will be in the top flight next season.

Ravo, I repeat - How come he has come this far? This is the key question. Loads of others have been in discussion. We are past the days of underwater casinos' and the like - let's see what happens in further discussions.

Agree Ricky - There would need to be some form of concrete deal with stadium expansion[^]

Ravo's right, I'm all for a concrete deal, along with a steel beams deal, and cantilevered roof deal. [:o)]

As per some others, if the money is directed at infrastructure, and doesn't come with hideous loan interest, I'd be interested. Why wouldn't we hear what they say?

Only other comment on BB blog...he seems to have quite a lot more insight (and subsequent positiveness) to Eisner than I've seen in any other reports. Am I missing something or has Micah got access to more info than the rest of us?

Mbesuma, I reckon Pompey could raise 10 million+ with its current model.

We need to create more shares that fans can dip into the pockets and buy.

We have a chance to give this model and stress test it in L1 - if it doesn't work, then we'll have lost a year or 2 maximum.

If we go all out pants-down to the first punter, we could lose it all again.

Gulf I'm not against outside investment. A takeover doesn't sit well with me too much however. This club needs to stay majority fan owned. Works in Germany after all.

In anyways I'm not against this fella providing that his motives are for the benefit of the club and the fans and that these motives are legit. If there's is even the slightest doubt I'd tell him to hop on a plain immediately.

Hard not to when some are talking like utter f@ckwits. Im more inclined to think outside investment is only ever going to be a case of when not if. The real debate is going to revolve around whether its "investment" or ownership. Would anyone wish to invest serious money without having control? A separate issue might be how does the investment turn into ownership or partial ownership. By buying existing shares or by "floating" and creating a new share issue?
