Here is your chance to attend the inaugural PFC Hall of Fame dinner which is taking place on Saturday March 28, 2009.
The event, which is being held in the Victory Lounge at Fratton Park, is the clubs way of celebrating its past players by inducting them into it's new Hall of Fame.
In the first set of awards are five of the greatest players to ever wear the famous royal blue shirt.
Two posthumous awards are to be given to Jimmy Dickinson, probably the greatest ever Pompey player, and flying winger Peter Harris who still holds Pompey's all time goalscoring record.
The other three awards go to Ray Hiron who played over 300 games scoring over 100 goals for his local club. Alan Knight (usually seen playing in a green shirt) who spent his whole career with Pompey playing in an incredible 801 first team games.
The final award goes to Guy Whittingham who scored 99 league goals in only 173 games. In the 1992/93 season he scored 46 league goals to break Billy 'Farmers Boy' Haines record of most goals in a season.
The event consists of a three course set meal followed by the award ceremony. To to finish the evening there is entertainment from local comedian Adger Brown and an auction featuring various pieces of sporting memorabilia.
There are limited tickets available on a first come first served basis. The tickets cost £30.00 and can be purchased by calling the Portsmouth Football Club sales team on 02392 778555. This is an evening for the fans to be involved in and will become a yearly event.
