Forward Rory Fallon has today told the Daily Express that he cannot wait for the second leg of New Zealand’s World Cup qualifying play off against Bahrain on Saturday. The first leg, in which the All Whites were away, finished 0-0, so it will be all to play for in Wellington as the race for the World Cup resumes.

New Zealand have previously qualified for just one World Cup- in Spain in 1982, though they have won the OFC Nations Cup four times and competed in three Confederations Cups. They are coached by Ricki Herbert, who is also manager of the country’s only professional club side Wellington Phoenix, who play in the Australian A-League as the New Zealand Football Championship is a semi professional competition.

Any Pilgrims fans interested in seeing how Fallon and his team mates get on can see the game live on British Eurosport from 7am.
