A hat-trick by Paul Benson helped Dagennham and Redbridge achieve a comprehensive 6-1 victory over Notts County.
Dags midfielder Matt Richie opened the scoring after only nine minutes, with Ben Strevens making it two after twenty-five minutes.
And then there was Paul Benson.
Scoring either side of the interval Benson brought the score to four and even defender Magnus Okuonghae got in on the act making it five on fifty-six minutes.
The Magpies were utterly played off the park but Jonathan Forte who scored a hat-trick of his own on his debut against Barnet, did manage a late consolation goal before Benson completed his hat-trick with a well-timed and powerfully struck header.
A day better best forgotten for the Magpies but they should use the experience to grow as a team and make sure they are harder to beat.
