All right folks. After Seattle and Philly, which city deserves to have the next MLS franchise? How many teams should the MLS have? This the E X P A N S I O N thread. My vote is on Montreal though Garber is waiting for St. Louis to find some financial backing. Share your thoughts.

MOntreal and Vancouver look to have the advantages. Great fan support for their USL sides. I'de put my money on Montreal though.
I really wish they would put a team in the Southeast. We have the best fans when it comes to College Football(honestly if you ever get a chance go to a FLorida Gators football game. Louder than any stadium in the US) and im sure that could translate into great soccer atmospher. I love MLS but i can't identify myself with a single team. The closest team is a 12 hour drive away. I want Atlanta or maybe try Miami/Orlando/Tampa Bay again.
I just want a team, that i can call my team.

It looks to me like Montreal have all the right assets going for them to join up with the MLS. And looking at it as an outsider it seems if they are half as passionate as the TFC fans then they should be in!!

As Joe says, maybe Miami should get a team, or Orlando maybe?? Purely for geographical reasons!

Montreal sell out their USL games! They will have great fan support and will rival TFc in that.
Also, about the SE team. there was Miami FC, but they played their games in a horrible place. Way outside of town. They need to get their majority popluation (latino's) in this. Build a stadium in the city. Make the tickets affordable, and that will become a great franchise. I mean its either a soccer team or the Dolphins.

MLS should stop expanding after 18 clubs. That leaves Montreal and St Louis. Florida has had an awful time keeping MLS clubs. St Louis would have passionate fans and Montreal would be a great addition to the league.

Why 18? I say 20. Agreed on Florida (hopefull thinking) But save your final answer, because Tampa is getting a team in '10. So we'll see what happens with that. But what about Atlanta?? Huge city. Has done well with the Silverbacks. Why not?
