Gardener's; assemble. Manure question

I was in the market for some manure for the garden when I noticed that many people on sites like Gumtree are trying to give it away because it takes up space. Problem being that no one was local.

Closest I found was near Whitby, but they said it was too far to travel.

It's only about £66 for a tonne from B&Q, but if it's free then I've saved myself £66 minus delivery costs to the owners. Anyone here procure some from local stables or in the know of places trying to get rid?

Gardener's; assemble. Manure question

A woman at work couldn't give me enough of it.

I am sure if you went to a stable yard they would let you muck out a stable or take it from the tip they usually have. I use to go up to Borrowby for mine but there are stables at the Unicorn Centre, Thornaby, Eston and Saltburn.

I am sure I might of missed a few off.

try the backroad near Treebridge Hotel. Stables there leave bags out for free.
You will want to let it rot down a bit before using.
