Just done my annual Boro predictions for Brunny comp and despite only drawing first 2 games we will smash the league and get 110 points( only 2 defeats)

Break 100 and we've smashed it.

I think the 2nd tier record is 106, which doesn't acknowledge 2 points for a win era, or when there were less than 24 teams.

I'd be more than happy with 92.

96 to win the league, 100 + to smash it

I definitely think we can go unbeaten all season.

calm the XXXXXX down, still need a GK, a CB, and another attacking option and we have to see who leaves.

'I definitely think we can go unbeaten all season.' I don't even know if he's fishing.

Using the formula of 3 points replacing 2 for a win, then our average points over 42 games extended to 46, Charlton's champions by today's standards would have got an average 101 points in the 74/75 season in division 2.

However, doing the same to 2nd and 3rd placed Luton and Carlisle's season would only equate to them getting 76 and 74 points respectively, giving us the modern equivalent of a 25 and 27 point gap to our nearest challengers.

IMO, this would certainly constitute 'smashing the league' and a repeat of this in the upcoming season would do me just fine. [:D]

I'm confident that you won't be in top 2. Your lot in for shock in this league for sure. Lots of surprise watch this space.

Why? Has the league changed drastically in the last year? Other than Wolves and Villa spending buckets I can't see how...

Oh and Leeds have swapped skill levels with Ipswich. I guess that'll turn the league on it's head after all.

In reality It wont be that easy as all these players have to settle down and gel.

My dark horse this year (If i am still allowed to use those words) is Sheff Utd

Lots of good teams with settled squads. Fulham, Reading, Villa, Birmingham Sheff Weds will be right up there, Leeds could fall back with Derby etc. We will be the team everyone raises there levels against

Totally agree. Changing the side every year will make it difficult again. Playoffs would still be a good result. Hopefully we finally win at Wembley.
