There was no Easter revival for Middlesbrough but what a performance we gave. The Riverside was rocking when Negredo equalised at the start of the second half and so were Arsenal for the next 10 minutes as Boro went all out for that essential but elusive win.

The Gunners eventually seized back the lead and the points but Boro had given their all. Defeat effectively ended our last slim chance to escape the drop. But if you are going down, go down fighting. Boro certainly gave everything in this Easter Monday night thriller. The Boro fans can feel proud of their team.
