The Stags have come up with a brilliant idea for the Blue Square match on Saturday 6 February, against Gateshead, when they will ask supporters to pay what they want to get into the ground.
It could mean supporters getting into field mill for £1, or some fans may want to make more of a contribution towards the club funds.
It is an outstanding gesture from the board, and now deserves the backing of the Mansfield public.
People can simply turn up on the day and pay any amount at the turnstile, with confirmation that the whole ground will be open for the scheme.
It should give the Stags their biggest crowd of the season, if it dosn't, then the town dosn't deserve a football club back in the football league.
Season ticket holders can sit in their normal seat for the game, but are also encouraged to sit anywhere in the stadium, if they also make a donation at the turnstyle.
Chairman Andy Perrry said of the move "The town has supported us since the takeover of the club and we are now giving something back to the community by allowing people to come to the match for a price which they decide."
Over to you Mansfield!
