In-form Jimmy Bullard has been called up to join Fabio Capello’s England squad for their friendly against Germany in Berlin this Wednesday and, with both Steven Gerrard of Liverpool and Frank Lampard of Chelsea having joined the long list of absentees.
Bullard has been in terrific form this season and was given the nod to join the England party earlier this season as their Italian manager named him in his squad for the two World Cup qualifying matches against Andorra and Croatia.
However, he didn’t feature in either of the games but, nevertheless, the call-up was a boost to a player aged 30 who, until then, had been overlooked for any national recognition.
Fulham midfielder, who has been instrumental in The Whites' rise up the Premier League table, has a very good chance of making his England debut in a game in which Capello is likely to experiment.
