Two goals from Junior Brown topped off a man of the match performance as he helped Town get past Aldershot.
The score didn't really reflect the story of the match and could have been different had they took advantage of Dean Howell's sending off. Davies made a great penalty save to keep Fleetwood one up but could do nothing to prevent the equaliser mid-way through the first half.
The second half brought an early substitution, Barkhuizen being replaced by Nicholson. The debutant looked fairly lively and was really the only attacking force on the break, but the change proved to be the correct one as Fleetwood found themselves back infront from a set-piece - Steve McNulty heading home.
Brown added a third and Mangan got on the scoresheet when Aldershot went down to 10 men. An impressive display from Fleetwood in front of 2500.
