Rangers, meanwhile, could be boosted by the return of Kirk Broadfoot and Jamie Ness.

Both players are back in training now that full-back Broadfoot has recovered from a knee problem and midfielder Ness has overcome a number of injuries.

However, striker Kyle Lafferty will miss the derby after being handed a two-week club suspension earlier this weekend.

Celtic assistant manager Alan Thompson: "Tony [Watt] will be a player who will possibly get stripped on Sunday. I don't think he will start the game.

"He did fantastic last week. I'm sure at some stage the lad might play a part.

"It's a big game for us and after that we have three games left.

"This is the biggest game we have left by some way.

"They are 2-1 up on us in terms of the three Old Firm games we've had in the league so we're looking to make amends come Sunday."

"Whether it's the last one [ever] or not, it's just another Old Firm game that we want to win."

Rangers defender Carlos Bocanegra: "It's always a fun game when go over there to play Celtic.

"It's definitely been a different vibe leading up to this one.

"This game is just about pride now.

"Obviously the rivalry is there between the two clubs. We want to win just as much as they do.

"Every time the Old Firm play it doesn't matter about league position.
