Hi Bury Fans

Let me introduce myself, my name is phil chatterley and i work for Stoke council on the CycleStoke team.

At the Port Vale v Bury game which is a week on Saturday we are planning a cycle ride to the game. The ride is about 25 mins long and is flat, suitable for a novice.

It would be great if a few Bury fans could join us and cycle in together, i can supply the cycles. All the Bury fans would have to do is get to Vale Park at 12.30pm.

Jim Cooper the community chap at the Vale will drive you to the start of the ride. We are to be joined by ex players, our local MP Joan Walley.

We are told by the BBC and Sky sports that they would like to film the ride, especially with two sets of fans cycling in together.

Once again the ride is at the slowest pace and is unique. We are planning to do this for every home game.

The TV people like it because it shows how supporters can have a good time cycling to the game...great publicity for Vale and Bury especially after the West Ham riot !!

My contact details are 01782 236665, work email philip.chatterley@stoke.gov.uk

Would love some volunteers.

All the best for the season everyone !!

Phil
