Pressure certainly got to them. I note both have to play Vale, so they will have a big say in the end result.

They've scored one in five games.

Can easily see Fleetwood beating Gillingham and Vale.

They only need a draw at Vale and win at home against Peterborough on the last day. Hardly mission impossible. Anyway the Cods won't win at Gillingham. Hope they do though.

Two rounds to go. Fleetwood play two teams in Gillingham and Port Vale who will be as desperate as Bury was against Bolton today.

It will be far from easy, although one would be tempted to think that Peterbourough could get a win V Bolton in the last match of the year, which would have Fleetwood going up.

Doesn't wash.

I've heard a rumour (and it is just a rumour) that Bolton are perilously close to needing to enter administration and as such, are debating whether they'd be better starting next season with minus 10 points or taking them off this season and going via the play-offs if needed.

As I say, its only a rumour.

Its true. I think they cant make the projections for financial fair play and are unable to give Parkinson a budget this summer.
I think they need to sell and quickly.

I thought you had to go into administration by a certain date (31 March?) to have any points deducted in the current season, rather than been carried forward into the new season. If that is the case then Bolton have already missed the deadline

Its definitely still Boltons to lose. Play offs could be interesting, Cods bit up and down, Bradford hot at home but poor away, Scunny running into a bit of form, Millwall/Southend dark horses, but how Millwall didn't win at Highbury on saturday I'll never know. Huge side who used their size advantage very effectively!

I've no idea if they've changed it but the minus ten was the first punishment. Additional points were deducted at a later date after they 'tidied up' the rules

May be the case, Plumbs. I was just sharing what I'd heard. I didn't look too far in to it.
Did Leeds (or other?) not get punished twice for one offence in the past?

Assuming Bolton limp over the line I'd take Millwall to win the playoffs. Tough place to go to in the semis and would have massive support at Wembley.

Yup.Leeds hit with an immediate ten points then 15 the next season and I think Luton and Bournemouth were even more.

Its a drastic measure now and really theres no place to hide,so Bolton must be getting really desperate.
The millions they get from becoming a C/S club must be a salvation but then you have to spend big there or you're doomed.

Of the remaining fixtures I would prefer Port Vale away than Gillingham.
I know Port Vale are in a massive relegation battle but Gills are not over the line yet. Bolton will take a big following . The long journey to Gillingham, how many will Cods take.
Port Vale at Highbury will probably be a must win game for them too?

You can get around 4/1 on Vale this Saturday.

Given Bolton's form and Vale's need for a win, it's a decent price.

The administration rule is that after a cut off date, the points deduction is carried forward to next season if it doesn't affect promotion or relegation issues. If it does, it still applies.

12.3.3 Subject to the provisions of Regulation 12.3.4 below, where the Club becomes subject to or suffers an Insolvency Event, or the Board impose a deduction in accordance with Regulation 12.3.2:

(a) during the Normal Playing Season but prior to 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in March, the points deduction shall apply immediately;

(b) during the Normal Playing Season but after 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in March, Regulation 12.3.4 shall apply; and

(c) outside the Normal Playing Season, the points deduction shall apply in respect of the following Season such that the Club starts that Season on minus 12 points (including in the National League if appropriate).

12.3.4 Where the circumstances set out in Regulation 12.3.3(b) apply and at the end of that Season, having regard to the number of championship points awarded (ignoring any potential deduction):

(a) the Club would be relegated in accordance with Regulation 10.1.2(b) or 7.3, the points deduction will apply in the next following Season (including in the National League if appropriate); or

(b) the Club would not be relegated as aforesaid, the points deduction will apply in that Season and Regulation 10.1.2(b) or 7.3 will then apply (if appropriate) following imposition of the points deduction.

12.3.5 For the avoidance of doubt, where a Club and/or Group Undertaking is subject to more than one of the procedures in Regulation 12.3.1 above during a process of compromising creditors (for example Administration followed by a Company Voluntary Arrangement), the Club shall only be deducted one set of 12 points, such deduction to apply with effect from the first Insolvency Event.

Sounds to me that the EFL have the option of invoking the 12 points when they deem fit,so that Noblots would be this season.I think the League have every eventuality covered and the Cods would have grounds to appeal, plus Bolton wouldnt have met the financial fair play criteria.
