Consequences of next weekend's attendance

So who will benefit and who will lose because of next week's attendance?

Less than 3,000 Bearing in mind how many Hartlepool will bring and the fact we have 1500 Season Ticket holders, this is unlikely but hugely embarrassing for the O's if it does

3,000-4,000 Footy for a Fiver promotion fails - no appetite for what the O's have done or are doing and even the team doing well hasn't brought fans back

4,000-5,000 Signs that there are still fans wanting to go to Bloomfield Road even if it is for a one off fiver promotion. No one really wins or loses as both sides can take something from this

5,000-6,000 I think the O's would be delighted at this even though it would only represent around 2000-3000 walk ons when you've taken out the ST holders and Monkey hangers. Certainly anything over 5,500 and they'd be chuffed

Over 6,000 - Think this would be a real slap in the face to the #napm'ers and in some ways to BST - If the club can get in that many fans after all that has happened then the O's will feel that they can move on.

Personally I will go for 4,400 - basically no one wins.

If they do top 5k I would be surprised but if so it will only be as a result of transient fans who might otherwise pick up the freebies attending and the large away support and all because its cheap as chips
Hardly a sustainable business model
Anyway I'll be at AFC Blackpool and hopefully so will a fair few other NAPM fans

What are all these freebies some on here talk about?

Whatever the attendance is given you can't believe it.

The crowd spotters will need to be out in force for this one!

Seem to be given out to schoolkids and their families
You see a fair few clutching their complimentary tickets looking around for where they need to go when you stand outside as I sometimes do
That said the take up seems poor as the actual crowds are by the consensus of those attending lower than claimed and it's to be assumed that the official figures are arrived by inc all comps issued

I have just done the Seat Counting Analysis from the club's own online ticket office (see other thread). According to what they have listed as available, if it can be believed (and in the past analyses we came very close to the official figure), they seem to have sold VIRTUALLY ZERO additional 5 seats for this Hartlepool match.

The total count shows 1546 plus some Row A and the M-Block (unknown hospitality). Given that the CEO had admitted they had sold 1545 STS at the start of the season, this looks like the offer has been a calamity. And Koko has probably halved his revenue from the away fans.
What a Wunderkind!

Can we expect a reaction from the official mouthpiece? What does the FPG have to say about it?

Hope you are doing a count on Saturday morning Archie.
Should be interesting. There will be a few who are influenced by recent form and cheap admission.
I don't know of anyone though at this time who are attending.

Depends on how much promotion the club and the Gazette do this week too.

I just cannot see why people are so fixated over attendances. The reality is that thousands are boycotting and the ground is largely empty. Even if the 5 admission adds a few hundred to the home crowd it will not change that reality.

Sheff Weds arent playing so someone could tell their fans they've a friendly over here.

That could easily put 20k on the attendance.
