Every week at work we take 10 games from the weekend fixtures and see who gets the most right, with £43 to the winner if you manage to score 13 points as a minimum. (1 pt for a corect result, 3pts for the correct score).

This week ends with Arsenal v Chelsea, Barcelona v Real Madrid and finally, Blackpool v Preston.

I make a comment on the lines of, "Derby week in ascending order of importance" and some people think I'm joking.

Anyone else think that the Preston game is not one of the biggest of the season, just another game?

At the end of the day, it's only 3 points. They are just as valuable every game.[;)]

Hijacking the thread a bit but if anyone's interested take a look at this. Started by a few lads at work...you can play for free if you want or pay a tenner a month to be in with a shout of getting something in return either weekly or monthly

Not sure if you fishing or not Wizz but got to disagree. It's the biggest and most important game of season for me, (only exception would be Bolton if we drew them in any cup game)

I have have seen loads of away wins but the one that sticks in my mind is 2-1 at Deepdale, I've seen us lose lots of times in the F A Cup but nothing hurt more than 0-1 in 1994 at their place.

Not old enough to have witnessed 3-0 in April 1970 but feel fairly certain if I had it would be the best game I'd been too.

It might be just three points as far as the rest of the country is concerned but can't believe you don't think it just a little more important than playing Scunthorpe, Peterboro or even Liverpool or Arsenal.

You miss my point. I think it's more important than any other. When the fixtures came out, the first one I looked for was this, followed by the away game [;)]

After that, Newcastle.

To say that the Preston game is the most important at this stage of the season is a little premature don't you think?

If we lose home and away, I'm sure people will be gutted when we reach the playoff final [;)]
