| I wonder how many of you out there who think the Ireland France game should not be replayed would feel if say the same thing happened to us vs a big club in a FA cup semi final robbing us of a chance of playing in the final. Somehow I think screaming for a replay comes to mind. | |

| We could scream all we like but it wouldn't happen. Perhaps if Andorra had scored that goal against France a replay would follow. Henry apologising is meaningless imo, he had ample time whilst on the pitch to make a meaninful apology in the form of a goal against. I would hope our team would have the integrety to be fair if we were the benefactors of something like that. Instinct from henry is one thing and lasts about 1 second, class lasts longer. Yes if against us we'd scream and shout, but thats the sad nature of the weak football authorities, who if they don't have rules for such an incident, don't bother changing the rules so these things don't go unpunished. | |

| Should we replay the 86 game after Maradona's goal? Should we replay the 98 game against Argentina when Campbell scored a perfectly good goal? And again when he scored a perfectly good goal against Portugal in Euro 2000? Beckham slipped, retake the pens? Didn't see Ireland asking to replay the game with Georgia after Keane won a dodgy pen in their group! They lost, dodgy decisions happen, end of | |

| It's part and parcel of football unfortunately, FIFA could actually grow some bollocks and ban Henry for the entire finals for such a blatent act of cheating. The officials cannot be blamed for this they were clearly unsighted otherwise they would have give the free kick, the officials had performed well up to that point. | |

| Still reminds me of Oxford Utd v Chelsea, FA cup 4th round, when OUFC should've won, but Vialli forced a draw... Chelsea got to semi's and Oxford Utd went into financial freefall after that game. ..money matters so much in football, as FIFA ,UEFA and the saps at theFA prove time and again. Don't pity Oireland, it was in their hands, but something stinks in football and it will never come out,IMHO ![]() | |
