For everyones attention especially Layton_seasider i would like to remind all that seeing as we have a free weekend this Saturday 14th November, Fleetwood town fc are at home to Reddich United in the Blue square north. Tickets as per usual are �10 adults and just �5 U16. You can take in the match and then watch the England v Brazil game straight after in Charlie's bar.

I'll tell you what...Here's a unique thought. Instead of wasting a tenner on helping another football club to step up the footballing ladder and compete with us for our fan base, why not... Donate the tenner to the Jimmy Armfield fund instead?

I want Fleetwood to win, no problem at admitting that. Don't think I could watch though - not much affinity from lytham st.annes way. Maybe different for people in Layton In terms of Blackpool's pricing policy - we make a lot of things seem cheap!

Man UTD and MAN City aren't competing in a tight catchement area for fans. Man Utd and Man City don't have the smallest home crowds in their relative divisions. If we were pulling in 20,000 fans each week I wouldn't care about Fleetwood. The LAST thing that BFC needs is some little club rising through the divisions and spreading the few potential fans more thinly. This area cannot deal with ANOTHER league football club. Sometimes I really question the intellect of some people on here. Sorry Winalot your comments are merely a means of justifying your support for a competitor. Insecure or not .....The potential rise of FT can only be a bad thing for Blackpool Football Club and as such those who are following Fleetwood should realise that this is directly conflicting with their Supposed first team.

You could use that same patronisng argument about say Accrington,where both Blackburn and Burnley are PL and trying to increase their fanbase.Theres nothing 'little' about Fleetwood (or any other ambitious team) who are just trying to give the local community a decent side to follow. The likes of Man City etc could look upon the Seasiders as 'little' and affecting their propsective support,but then they'd get hammered on here for being arrogant and unsensitive(rolls eyes) It seems to me that some people need to make their minds up on here, and then concentrate on the positive aspects of following the Seasiders.A top six spot in the Championship ought to be enough to bring the fans backs in their thousands,and if not something needs to be done about that-nowt to do with Fleetwood Town but good luck to them anyway

I dont see why there is all this animosity towards FTFC. They are a local team and doing well and they have a fantastic setup. Yes, it may not be Pool but some people go to watch for the sake of enjoying being at a match on a free weekend while there is a needless England friendly. Me & my Dad will both be there and we have been Pool season ticket holders for 7 years. Ask any league team in the county that has a non league club down the road and i bet you there is no ill feeling. I know of Sunderland & Newcastle fans that go to Gateshead and the 6 or 7 other lower non league clubs games. This is for purely a football fix. BFCx3, Samm or whoever else, Grow up and stop being so bloody petty. Come on you Cods

Yep I am a Blackpool lad who comes on here to discuss or read things regarding Blackpool FC, have banter, argue with 20s occasionally about Jason Euell etc. I even don't mind reading now and then on how Fleetwood Town are doing. However, what is bloody annoying is a select few who criticise Blackpool fans who don't give a toss on this board about things Fleetwood by calling them patronising, morons and that they need to grow. Hmmm let's think about this grown up like then. Why do you think that most Blackpool fans will rave about Fleetwood when they have absolutely no affinity to them? Yeah I know they are local but so are Preston but please don't get so upset when some Blackpool aren't so bothered. Take your own advice and "grow up" or actually go onto the Fleetwood board where I am sure you'll be able to have better discussions than on here. Cheers.

I went and played golf in North Wales then went to the pictures with my daughter. I now realise I should have stopped at home and given the green fee and cinema money to the Jimmy Armfield fund. My apologies. As others have said, we have a really good product to offer down at Bloomfield Rd which should stand comparison with anything Fleetwood can offer. To say that those who spend a free weekend at Highbury Rd are traitors to BFC is hardly giving a ringing endorsement to the changes down at Bloomfield Rd, is it?
