So somewhere between 300 and 400.

There have long been doubts over the official attendances published by the club, but last night's figure of 776 almost seemed like a joke. In fact I joked myself before the game upon seeing the virtually empty stands that the attendance will be given out as 1,000, but my quip nearly turned out to be correct. If there were any more than 400 there I would have been surprised, although 300 looked more likely. Was it just a case of putting out a figure that topped Pool's low attendance for their only other home fixture in the Checkatrade Trophy, which was 760 against Cheltenham back in August?

Well done that man[^]

According to one of the Wycombe players that's about right; maybe even a bit in the high side!

Showers were warm though.

As said above just one of Potter's little games.

He plays this little game because he is a failure and he knows it.

TAM is right, the figure includes all of those mentioned incl. playing staff and workers.
I'd imagine Koko is fully within his rights to include in the figure anyone staying at or dining in the hotel.

The numbers are only for academic interest. The really important numbers are:
A How much did it cost to stage?
B How much did it earn as revenue?
If A is greater than B then its bad news (or good news depending on your view).

Interesting that both Karl1953 and AVFTB opinions are absent in such discussions?

I know that False Accounting is a crime, but what about False Reporting of numbers?

Would the FA not take action against Blackpool for misleading figures?

Only asking,if people know let BST know and they could forward a letter to them, see if they get a reply on why they are still supporting the club in these times.

What would be the point Ian they would only be interested if he was fiddling the tax.
For the next home game he could print of 5000 freebies and set fire to them but the cost of added police and security for that numbers wouldn't be worth it.
All this counting of fans and attendances makes fcuk all difference it's what is taken in the till.

Do the players, subs, coaches and managers count? That's a good 50 easily! The ref and officials, another 4!

Don't get why they would to be honest as they'll have to give half of what's left to Wycombe and so therefore shooting themselves in the foot twice because let's face it a crowd of 700 odd is hardly reason to cheer in the first place.

I wonder why this was taken down by the gazzette for a couple of hours and then re-instated.
Seems to have come back with little or no alteration??????

I had a little tour of Hartlepool United the other day.

They have two computers with automated counters attached to the turnstiles.

One is in the Police Control room, the other is in the main office. They check each at the end of the game and they have to match. If they don't they have an investigation.

Now, it would be interesting to look at the figures through the turnstiles (anybody know a friendly bobby?) Presuming it's a similiar set up, I wonder whether a FOI request to Lancashire Police could be used to ascertain the numbers through the turnstiles rather than the numbers of tickets allocated and subsequently announced.

One for BST maybe?

There are no turnstile counters though for anyone entering the two corporate entrances either on the West Stand or through the hotel.......including the players etc [;)]

I would like Matt to directly ask the oystons what the plan for the year is ? How attract fans back etc etc .

When they don;t respond he has an immediate story of having probably the only club in the country which has not addressed its fans in any meaningful way in the new year !

The Alex Coady snippets do not count as they are just embarassing, managing to coast around any important topics whatsoever. I feel sorry for him.
